Djoon AM emerged from a period of deep personal and artistic transformation. Amid the stillness of lockdown, Django el Siddig, who had never played an instrument before, picked up a guitar and, without formal training, immersed himself in music with obsessive focus. Every night, after long hours assisting artists in their studios, he returned home to teach himself how to play, sing, and write songs.

As his sound began to take shape, Django connected with Ian Tongg (synth, co-producer) through an app designed to bring musicians together. Their creative partnership led them to makeshift recording spaces, professional studios by day, Django’s living room by night where they experimented, refined ideas, and slowly pieced together what would become Djoon AM’s first album.

What makes Djoon AM stand out is its raw, intimate process. Most of the album was recorded with a single microphone in Django’s living room, capturing the immediacy and imperfection of discovery.

By bridging the worlds of lo-fi intimacy and ambitious sonic exploration, Django has shaped Djoon AM into an evolving creative space—one where instinct, experimentation, and collaboration redefine what’s possible outside the traditional music industry framework.
